Going Greener

There is a lot of talk out there about ‘going greener’ and being more ‘sustainable or eco’ but how many businesses are actually acting on this?

Enter Jolyon Bennett – CEO and founder of Juice (mobile phone accessories manufacturer) – he is on a mission to not only ensure his company is manufacturing in a more sustainable way, but he is also rolling out an incentive to help others (even his competitors) to do the same with their own label ranges – TESCO being one of the first to work with him.

On top of this, he is actually taking a hit for the environment by not increasing any of his pricing on his eco packaging so as not to put customers off buying it and to encourage more sustainable shopping.

  • Earlier this year Juice has become the first mobile phone accessories manufacturer to completely remove single-use plastic from its packaging
  • Juice also scooped the prestigious ‘Best Accessories Manufacturer’ award at the annual Mobile News Awards 2020 beating multi-national industry giants such as Belkin, Otter Products and Zagg to the win

Jolyon's efforts have been recognised by industry professionals including Steven Pacitti, President of the International Packaging Press Organisation (IPPO). During a recent interview, Steven said:

“I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to Juice and Jolyon Bennett – to find a brand that is committed to the intrinsic values and benefits that plastic brings and is prepared to go the extra yard to make it completely recycled at his own cost, is a rare breed.”

Although many businesses have been helping each other throughout the pandemic, this was always part of Jolyon's wider business plan. He is making it his mission to encourage sustainable purchasing and believes that even making small changes can make a big difference.
